Under general direction, manages the purchase, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems.
Responsible for evaluating current systems.
Work on complex problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various factors.
Plan large scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies.
Provide work leadership and training to lower level network engineers.
Uses advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledgeable of Cisco IOS configuration and diagnostic commands for routing and switching
Thorough knowledge of packet capture and inspection
Good understanding of LAN to LAN VPN from different devices
Good knowledge of DHCP, DNS, SNMP and other network services
Assets (Nice to haves)
CCX, CUCM, and other Cisco phone system applications
Fiber Channel knowledge
Bachelors Degree or Cisco Certifications
