Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, management and maintenance of global LAN/WAN, voice, and firewall systems. Will serve as a "go to" person for technical solutions. Research and apply best of breed technical solutions to create efficient, effective, flexible, and secure environments. Maintains expert support knowledge and skills for complex troubleshooting. Participates in on-call rotation for incident support. Provides information, documentation, and utilization reports. Perform implementations, modifications and decommissioning of voice and data infrastructure.
Qualifications: • In-depth knowledge of data networking principals and best practices • Experience managing network design and deployment projects • Advanced diagnostic, problem solving and troubleshooting ability • Experience with Telecommunications circuits (Ethernet, DS3, T1, E1, ISDN, DSL, POTS, SONET Ring, QOS, etc.) • Vendor management experience • Ability to work in team environment and mentor staff • Strong understanding of network security • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Bachelors degree preferred in Computer Science or Information Technology • A minimum of 6 years IT network engineering and infrastructure experience • Prior experience with routers, switches, cabling, TCP/IP, MPLS, VoIP, PBX, etc. • Prior experience with CISCO hardware, Checkpoint firewalls, Juniper remote access, and wireless devices • Prior experience with routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP. US citizenship required.
