DOD 8570 Security + certification or obrain within 3 months of start date.
Experience with standard DOD Networks (NIPRNET, SIPRNET).
Experience with LAN Management, IT system security, network backups, VPNs and gateways, system test & integration, system resource utilization, network deficiencies & Corrections, and network O&M.
Active Directory and/or VM (Virtual Machine) Ware Virtualization Soft ware for Desktops experience.
Secret clearence required to start.
Must be willing to submit for a Top Secret clearance.
Familiarity with USSOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR)and the TCSC portfolio of service offerings.
Experience with TCSC specific networks. Experience with an opreational environment. Experience supporting COCOMs.
Existing Security + certification. CISCO certfications.
Specific Job Description
Candidate will provide network administration for all TCSC-SOUTHCOM IT/IM systems and networks. Supervise, manage, and maintain the customer's enterprise-level networks and communications infrastructure (including hardware). Sustain the daily operations of the enterprise networks and ensure that all networks are functional and available to the customer on a daily basis. Provide immediate corrective actions should communications systems need attention. Provide technical assistance, training, and recommendations to staff on network issues that they are unable to resolve. Design solutions for integrating the customer's networking solutions into the enterprise and making that solution available to all customers. Interface with vendors and the support staff should a solution require support beyond the local staff. Assist the security personnel in achieving their goal of securing the networked systems IAW applicable regulations. Interface with external personnel as the customer requires for implementing hardware/software/configuration solutions. Serve as the Network Administrator of multiple networks in an operational environment.
