Senior Network Engineer for the Digital/Hard Ware In the Loop (HWIL) Event Planning & Operations at the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC). Position supports the JRDC program at SAFB, CO.
Primary duties include network design, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the BMDS Ground Test Center (BGTC), Flight Test and Digital lab assets & infrastructure. Will integrate and maintain network infrastructure components to satisfy architectural and event requirements. The position involves hands-on design, configuration and troubleshooting of networks components (Cisco routers, switches, firewalls). Responsible for producing relevant artifacts such as system and ICD connectivity drawings.
Master’s degree with 10 years experience and an ability to multi-task in a dynamic and high-tempo setting, both independently and within a team environment. Candidate must have experience configuring Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, routing protocols and troubleshooting UDP multicast. Must have experience with network monitoring tools (Netscout, Wireshark, etc.), Type 1 Encryption Devices and VoIP implementation across secure networks in accordance with specified network and security requirements. Proven ability in creating data or voice network diagrams that document current capabilities and event baselines. Candidate must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to be granted a Secret Clearance. Current Cisco (CCNP and/or CCNA) and Security (CISSP and/or Security+) certifications are required.
Experience with communications (MDACNet, DISN, SIPRNet, etc,) timing systems and VTC are highly desirable. Understanding of the Single Stimulation Framework (SSF) or Missile Defense System Exerciser (MDSE) and tactical system intercommunication assets such as the Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) or Joint Range Extension (JRE) and C2BMC systems is preferred.
