Kronos is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer capable of integrating into an experienced team responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of company's global network, services and security systems. The position requires practical knowledge in multiple technical disciplines including voice, data and wireless networks, host-based and network security systems and network services.
The candidate will be required to:
Gain a solid understanding of the Enterprise network architecture and provide administrative support to Corporate, Regional and Remote locations.
Contribute to performance, troubleshooting and tuning of a network comprised of Juniper and Cisco Routers & Switches.
Assume responsibility for managing WAN routing using BGP, OSPF and MPLS on both managed and corporate-owned routers and switches.
Work with the Corporate Architecture Team to review requirements and develop solutions that meet business requirements and easily integrate with the existing infrastructure.
Assist with the provisioning and/or decommissioning of network services throughout the WAN. This activity could include installing and/or de-installing network devices, as well as provisioning and/or decommissioning of WAN circuits.
Monitor the support queue and assist the IT Support Team in resolving day-to-day network issues. Participate in emergency support for the all network locations.
Keep an up to date inventory of all network devices and support contracts.
Candidate should have a working knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches and load balancers and of the protocols and methodologies employed to maintain a global network including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPSEC and WAN acceleration.
Understanding of enterprise virtual server technologies, virtual switching, SAN storage fabric and enterprise storage systems is a plus.
Candidates must be capable maintaining and troubleshooting several of the aforementioned technologies ensuring adherence to company policies, industry practices and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent and 5+ years of directly applicable experience.
Strong background in Network Engineering and Operations.
Cisco and Juniper switches, F5 BigIP, Juniper IVE, SilverPeak, Palo Alto/Juniper firewalls, InfoBlox, ePolicy Orchestrator, VMWare, Q1-Labs q-RADAR, and Axway/Tumbleweed technologies.
Experience in both managed services and IT operations is a plus.
Must be self motivated and able to work with all areas of the business to derive solutions.
