VRI is currently seeking a Network Engineer to Design, Implement, and Administer the network and telecommunication infrastructure. Whatever it takes – for our customers, and our community. The Network Engineer is a member of the IT team. She/he is responsible for planning, engineering, installing, monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving complex problems associated with the business critical network infrastructure within a 24x7x365 high-availability healthcare environment. The Engineer consults with the Infrastructure team members on complex, network related issues. Responsibilities include planning, design, forecasting, deployment, documentation, capacity management, updates, and other ongoing daily management of the network infrastructure. She/he plans, designs, and implements scalable local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VoIP). She/he conducts tests of network redundancy, resilience, and fail-over of network elements to ensure up-time standards are fully achieved. Daily interaction is required with System Engineers, Application Engineers and other members of IT to support day-to-day operations. Mentoring, project management, excellent troubleshooting and communication skills are required for success. The candidate will be required to provide 24x7 on-call support with some evening and weekend work.

Self-driven, able to work independently and within a team
Three plus years of experience
