Position is responsible for design installation and post cut-over
support for NEC voice products such as NEC PBX/ACD/IP - SV8500,
Voicemail - UM8500, Navigator 7 and Queworx 5. Works with senior
engineering staff to help maintain customer networks.
Escalates unresolved issues as appropriate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities -
Provides basic installation and maintenance services on NEC voice
products and other networking equipment. Staging, basic
configurations, testing, and troubleshooting networking equipment
associated with customer projects.
Provide assistance to senior technical resources on projects,
installations, and change orders, as directed.
Additional duties as required. Including but not limited to
performing administrative duties, and completing appropriate
paperwork and documentation according to deadlines as required.
High school diploma or equivalent,
some college required.
One to two years of related practical
experience. Working knowledge with
NEC voice and/or other networking
Certifications, Licenses, etc:
No certifications required. Must have
a valid driver’s license for principal
state of employment. Any
certification related to NEC voice
products is a plus.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills -
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and
Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented; ability to think methodically.
Networking Skills: Basic understanding of IP networking,
Cisco and Microsoft networking, and Voice-Over-IP
preferred. Computer Skills: Working knowledge of
personal computer hardware, Windows and Linux operating
systems, standard office, web browsing, communications,
and diagnostic applications mandatory. Organizational
Skills: Ability to effectively manage time and multiple
assignments to meet customer and company requirements
