Surveymonkey is seeking a talented and experienced network engineer to be the owner and manager of everything networking in our production datacenter. This is a new role at Surveymonkey and offers the qualified candidate an opportunity to design a functional and scalable datacenter network from the ground up. The Network Engineer will be the primary resource for evaluation, specification and technical decisions impacting routers, switch stacks, firewalls, load balancers, network security, bandwidth/transport, and virtually all aspects of Surveymonkey networks. The network engineer will take ownership of production issues, working closely with the infrastructure and development teams to address problems. Some 24x7 on-call rotation will be required.
Why is this an excellent opportunity for the qualified network engineer?
You will be working with the special considerations of a high-scale infrastructure.
You help define security strategies and incident response... (How can you fight a 30Gbps DDOS attack?)
Our customers are domestic and international so dealing with long routes and optimization is part of the job.
You get to design the network for a brand new datacenter this year.
Contribute to a wildly successful platform that is profitable and growing quickly.
