This position has design, deployment and support responsibilities for San Joaquin Valley (SJV) business unit Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, fiber network, Wireless (WiFi), IP Telephony technologies and RF (radio, microwave, WiMax, SVAT, etc).

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Engagement by SJV communications engineering and Network Asset groups to lead projects that include development, design, configuration, coordination and implementation.
Duties are performed in a highly customer focused organization, where the exercise of excellent customer service, teamwork and relationship management is paramount
SJV business unit facilities/sites knowledge and communications infrastructure knowledge are critical to the position.
Build/maintain excellent relationships with customers, promote and lead change, learn from more senior team members and mentor others as appropriate.
Learn from senior colleagues and mentor junior colleagues in technical as well as soft skills.
Participate in performance reviews and help identify and develop efficiency opportunities
Provide periodic and /or on-demand performance reports and project milestones status updates.
Ensure proper documentation of new infrastructure and decommissioning of old devices.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and change management guidelines.
Follow and provide input to standard architectures, technologies and designs.
Exhibit a strong Operational Excellence focus (safety, reliability, information protection, etc.)
Exhibit Chevron way behaviors at all times and pursue technical and professional continuous improvement.
Bachelors degree in networking or telecommunications or equivalent.
5 plus years of experience.
Cisco Certifield Network Associate (CCNA) required or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) prefered
Ability to design, engineer and deploy networking solutions. Experience in configuration, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of telecommunications physical, data link and network layer systems and associated equipment.
Ability to operate, monitor, and service multiple communications devices in voice, data, and field wireless networks. Diagnose and test voice and data network infrastructure.
Knowledge of network security services (risk assessments, segmentation/firewalling and information protection).
Perform unsupervised installations & conduct independent system level troubleshooting of various telecom systems.
Familiarity with Chevron networking and related architectures, standards and processes.
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters. *LI-DD1
