Develops and maintains the high-level design plan for the overall logical and technical IS architecture. Provides supervision and technical leadership for the department network management and telecommunications team from strategic decision making to project planning and consulting for the Technology and Service manager. Supervises and participates in day-to-day activities, projects, and evaluates new technologies and methodologies for successful implementation with all voice and data systems. Oversees system security, continuity and disaster recovery planning and implementation.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area.
5 years progressively responsible related experience including 2 years in a supervisory capacity in an IS or IT department.
Current Washington State driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
Å¸ Knowledge of: project management, customer service techniques and team building concepts, network design and development, including router and switch network design, implementation, installation, and support, within a multi-protocol environment including sub-netting and filtering.
Å¸ Strong knowledge of hardware and software evaluation principles, and privacy/security practices.
Å¸ Knowledge of networks, PC's, operating systems (2003, 2008R2).
Å¸ In-depth technical knowledge of and expertise with telephone switching systems networks ( LAN /WAN), fiber, Ethernet, firewall, anti-virus, VOIP and video conferencing over a LAN /WAN or other means, and intrusion detection systems.
Å¸ Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required. Prepare business plans for approval.
Å¸ Able to perform network design, planning documentation and oversee purchasing efforts.
Å¸ Ability to prioritize and execute technology plans.
Å¸ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Å¸ Proven project planning and supervision experience with a keen attention to detail.
Å¸ Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Å¸ Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language. Ability to evaluate and communicate technology issues in a user-friendly way.
