This position supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Field Security Operations (FSO) division in providing Information Assurance/Information Security Services to the Department of Defense. The position location is at either the HP I-Assure Letterkenny office in Chambersburg, PA or Herndon VA. The candidate must have DoD Top Secret clearance with a single scope background investigation, or the ability to get one.
The individual will create and/or maintain security guidance based on US DOD 8500.2 or 800-53 IA controls. Additional activities may include Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) assessments, working with lab environments, vendor tools or diagnostics, and security assessment processes. The team provides expert security guidance in the form of vulnerability analysis, implementation recommendations, and deficiency resolution support to the customer locations. Team members produce Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) artifacts in the form of documents, automated security assessment techniques, and ad hoc risk assessments. Additionally, team members may be asked to attend public technical forums, work groups, and security consulting to DOD organizations or sites.
Qualifications
10+ years of development and/or enterprise operations experience in multiple technologies and operating environments, with security focus. Must also be a motivated self-starter, possess excellent communications skills, be flexible to change in a dynamically changing environment, work as a team player, and be able to perform under minimal direction. Must have DoD Top Secret security clearance with a single scope background investigation, or the ability to get one.
Supported technology areas include Operating environments, Network protocols and devices, Databases, Web applications and services, Microsoft User and Server applications, and DOD Policy administration.
