Network Security Engineer (Job Number: 313205)
SAIC is seeking a Network Security Engineer to work at our customer location at Ft Huachuca, AZ.
The Security Engineer will support the Department of Defense in the engineering, test and integration of secure network systems, and wireless and wired network systems.
This position requires the ability to obtain up to a TS/SCI clearance. This position will require both hands-on and analytical work.
Systems engineering and integration of secure network systems. Member of engineering team that plans, integrates, designs, tests and operates information systems. Develops, analyzes secure engineering solutions and alternatives. Defines requirements. Develops test plans and configuration procedures. Troubleshoots and implements networks. Requires analytical and hands-on experience. Works in a team environment on government site.
Must possess a working knowledge of information assurance, security engineering, security architectures, security management, security planning, security baseline development, and similar activities. Must be capable of performing security analysis; network and systems security assessments, security product evaluations; securing information systems; developing security, certification and accreditation documentation; certification testing; and other similar activities or related area plus a minimum of 5 years direct experience in Information Security. In addition, it is required that the security engineer meet the certification requirements for an IASAE-II position, per the latest versions of DoD 8570.01-M and the Army Information Assurance Training and Certification Best Business Practice.
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance from an ABET accredited institution. Experience supporting DoD or IC programs. Experience with PKI, cryptos, and wireless communication systems such as government and commercial satellite communications, microwave, 3G/4G technologies and wireless LANs. Experience with routers, switches, VoIP, MPLS, Serial to Packet converters and other IP technologies.
