The Network Technology Run Organization has a global reach with Wide Area Networks that span World Wide and Local Area Networks ranging in size and complexity from a 3-person office to a 700 building studio environment. The team is charged with delivering a robust infrastructure from “wing to wing” using standard platforms, processes, environments, and tools.
Responsible for the services provided by the Enterprise Network Technology Run team globally. The team supports a large number of business units including On-Air broadcast networks and TV stations, internal application server farms, cutting edge enterprise data centers, proxy and web hosting environments as well as external facing 3rd party vendors.
Ensure network stability. Oversee expeditious solutions are implemented to address and resolve business needs. Support day to day operations, project design, reviews and implementation, provide subject matter expertise and escalation point for the Network L1 team.
Expert knowledge of Cisco LAN/WAN inter-network routing and switching concepts and technologies, expertise in Juniper a plus. Experience with EIGRP, BGP and OSPF routing protocols are required. Other relevant experience would include in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, QOS, MPLS, LAN Trunking, Etherchannel, ACL’s and Route Maps.
Expert hands-on security experience implementing, troubleshooting and administration using firewall and IPS technology.
Experience with web hosting network technology. Emphasis is on inter-networking, security, load balancing and proxy servers. Candidate should have operational working-experience in a production web-hosting environment including implementation, troubleshooting and administration.
As a level 2 Network Operations position and part of a 24-7 on-call technical team. Off-hours support will be required on a rotating basis.
Engage in implementation/operational reviews of engineering projects moving into production.
Engagement in all aspects of operational enhancement efforts.
Ability to interpret a network sniffer trace is a must.
B.S. degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or other technical discipline.
Minimum 5+ year’s increasingly responsible experience in network operations.
Demonstrated successful design, planning and implementation of wide and local area network architecture, including capacity planning and technical troubleshooting.
Must have strong project management, organizational, implementation and communication skills.
Must have expertise in network security and access control systems and related strategies.
Expertise working on a team with motivated cross functional individuals focused on a common goal of delivering cutting edge solutions to meet aggressive business demands in an ever changing environment.
