Network and Systems Integration Engineer (Job Number: 319821)
SAIC has an immediate opening for a Network and Systems Integration Engineer to work in at our Cannon AFB, New Mexico location.
The Network and System Integration Engineer will work with contractor and government managers to design and integrate new systems and networks to support the daily operations and upgrades of an Air Force Operations Center located at Canon AFB, New Mexico. Primary responsibility is to provide hands on and technical oversight of computer and audio systems integration, network integration, engineering, operations and maintenance of the multiple communication systems within the Predator and Reaper Operations Center. Responsible to manage schedules, tasks, budgets and training team members as needed. Tasks include; install, configure, maintain network services, equipment and devices, supports administration of servers and server clusters, manages system back-up and restore protocol, plans and supports network and computing infrastructure, monitors system performance and implements performance tuning, requires a thorough knowledge of networking essentials and network security. Applicant will be required to lead technical solutions to solve real-time issues as a lead network administrator and train junior network personnel.
Clearance: Current DoD TS/SCI clearance is required. SHIFT WORK is required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 years relevant experience and hold a Security Plus/CE certification required by DoDD 8570.
Required Skills: Experience designing, building and changing networks is required. Candidate must a system mater expert with military network architectures consisting of Cisco routers, Cisco switches, and Ericsson/Marconi ATM switches, lead and direct configuration changes, system maintain guidance and troubleshoot problems. Candidate must be fluent with the Cisco IOS, IP routing protocols and knowledgeable with Ericsson/Marconi switch software, ATM protocols and ATM test equipment. Require C4ISR (Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Intelligence Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) experience. Experience managing DoD cryptographic equipment (e.g. FASTLANE/TACLANE) and COMSEC handling experience is required. Excellent communication skills in team environments and superior customer service skills are mandatory.
Desired Skills: Prior military experience and experience with UAV operations center multicast networking is highly desirable..
