Key NPD process fundamentals are "owned" by Plant Manager, however, this person is to handle all coordination / facilitation / administrative functions of the NPD process
Follow New Product Development flow / process explcitly in Quality Management System
Operate with a high degree of competence and focus on product and systems quality
Utilize competent knowledge of Hot End operations and Cold End operations
Be responsible for entire process fundamentals including initial and final packaging
Conduct appropriate and industry specific testing and evaluation of products using traditional and necessary gauging and measurement tools and techniques
Primary contact person for New Product Development, always available to field general capability questions from sales and/or customers
Develops these general questions into sales opportunities by making recommendations / steering the customer into Moulded Division-provided solutions to optimize sales
Filters these conversations into high potential or low potential opportunities and ranks them based on probability
Coordinates technical and manufacturing exchanges with the customer until the development of the item is complete and into successful manufacture
Travel to customer locations to assist customer with line trials and collect data to improve filling lilne performance
Responsible for the redevelopment of existing products to satisfy existing customers increased requirements
Prioritizes, manages and reports status of the development pool of potential opportunities currently in the new product development pipeline
Conduct person for product exchange between manufacturing locations in Europe, Asia and the Americas
Provide costing assistance to pricing department based on development data
Capable of reading and potentially designing bottle drawings, CAD
Required Qualities, Skills and Experience
Prefer a College Degree, associates with experience or bachelors with technical background
Technical background / experience a plus, ceramic engineer, mold design, mechanical engineer, container glass manufacturing experience
Basic knowledge of the selling process, selling etiquette, market intelligence concepts and costing Interested?
