SUMMARY
As a key member of the Consumer Products Division Marketing Team, the New Product Launches Marketing Director is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies designed to support New product launches and to achieve annual operating plan profit and volume.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work collaboratively with New Business Development team on preparation of new products for launch and assume leadership of initiatives once they are in market

Develop and implement business strategies, plans and programs to achieve annual and long term volume, revenue and profit goals. Contribute to annual plan development

Work collaboratively with Consumer Products Division Sales team on development of category management selling decks and execution of distribution drives for new product launches. Participate in key sales calls as appropriate

Manage marketing budgets for new product launches

Participate in price/commodity management and financial forecasting process for assigned product lines

Lead agency partners on creation of integrated marketing plans to support new launches including advertising, consumer promotion, public relations, digital, social and shopper marketing

Collaborate with New Business Development and Creative Services on development of packaging and merchandising structure and graphics.

Manage cross-functional teams in the development of line extensions

Collaborate with Manufacturing and R&D on cost savings initiatives and product supply issues.

Identify industry, consumer and competitive trends and make recommendations for action plans and programs based on key learnings.

In conjunction with Consumer Insights, lead custom brand level studies including trial and repeat, source of volume, marketing ROI and category management initiatives

Utilize Nielsen data to manage the business and oversee the development and communication of monthly initiative tracker and business insights meetings.

Present concepts, programs and projects to various management committees and prepare and present at annual sales meetings.

Provide forecasting input and direction to Demand Planning group in support of demand planning process. As part of demand planning process, provide assumptions to annual business plan and communicate changes as needed.

Monitor quality complaints from consumer services and customers and work with R&D and manufacturing on corrective action. Attend Grading Table meetings.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree (MBA) preferred. Bachelor Degree Required. 10+ years of CPG marketing experience required. 5+ at a Marketing/Brand Manager level. Proven track record of top and bottom line growth. New product/line extension experience required. NBD development/launch experience preferred. Supervision of employees required, cross-functional team leadership experience required. Agency management experience and proficiency with P&Ls required.

Commodity experience a plus.

CPG Snack experience a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Advanced written, verbal and presentation skills required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid drivers license. Must be able to travel

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Advanced understanding of syndicated data required (A.C. Nielsen, IRI), Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), presentation skills
