As a key member of the Consumer Products Division Marketing Team, the New Product Launches Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies designed to support new product launches and to achieve annual operating plan profit and volume.

Work collaboratively with New Business Development team on preparation of new products for launch and help manage initiatives once they are in market

Work with Director to develop and implement business strategies, plans and programs to achieve annual and long term volume, revenue and profit goals. Contribute to annual plan development

Work collaboratively with Consumer Products Division Sales team on development of category management selling decks and execution of distribution drives for new product launches. Participate in key sales calls as appropriate

Manage marketing budgets for new product launches

Collaborate with agency partners on creation of integrated marketing plans to support new launches including advertising, consumer promotion, public relations, digital, social and shopper marketing

Collaborate with New Business Development and Creative Services on development of packaging and merchandising structure and graphics.

Assist Director with development of line extensions

Collaborate with Manufacturing and R&D on cost savings initiatives and product supply issues.

Identify industry, consumer and competitive trends and make recommendations for action plans and programs based on key learnings.

Work closely with Consumer Insights group on custom brand level studies including trial and repeat, source of volume, marketing ROI and category management initiatives

Utilize Nielsen data to manage the business. Develop and communicate performance at monthly initiative tracker and business insights meetings.

Present concepts, programs and projects to various management committees and prepare information for annual sales meetings.

Provide analysis and assist in demand planning process.

Monitor quality complaints from consumer services and customers and work with R&D and manufacturing on corrective action. Attend Grading Table meetings.

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree (MBA) preferred. 5 years of CPG marketing experience required. At least two years at Marketing/Brand Manager level. Proven track record delivering top and bottom line growth. New product/line extension experience required. NBD development/launch experience preferred. Supervision of employees preferred, cross-functional team leadership required. Agency management experience and proficiency with P&Ls required.

Advanced understanding of syndicated data required. Advanced written, verbal and presentation skills required.

Commodity experience a plus.

CPG Snack experience a plus.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Syndicated data analysis (A.C. Nielsen, IRI), Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), presentation skills. Some travel required

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
