Postmates is looking for an experienced General Manager with 3+ years of experience in operations, management consulting, and/or investment banking to lead the development, growth and success of its New York market.

Manage and collaborate with a team to ensure the success and quality of our supply chain (couriers) operations
Work with data sets to identify, analyze and interpret demand trends/patterns on a weekly basis and adjust supply scheduling
Communicate operational, product and growth needs to HQ
Work with engineering to improve existing recruitment and courier management tools
Run deep analytics for recruiting and expansion; plan and execute expansion
3+ years experience in management consulting at a top tier firm, banking, and/or operations
Exceptional numerical and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills (grammar nerds wanted!)
Proven track record in scaling operations and presenting complex information in an understandable manner
Experience managing & collaborating with diverse professional teams; ability to work effectively away from HQ.
Proactively developing plans to address new challenges
Deliver results on time-sensitive projects. Sense of urgency a must
Comfortable working in a startup environment and participating in individual and group critiques
