We are currently seeking candidates for a Night Shift Supervisor for the Broadwind Towers facility in Abilene, TX.

Experience: 3 – 5 years experience in Manufacturing Plant Management. Must have hand-on experience achieving safety, quality and production/productivity targets and be a Certified Welding Inspector.

Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers, assists administration managers, and performs a variety of other supervision duties, with emphasis on Safety and Supervising by performing the following duties.
· Prioritizes activities in each work center to ensure productivity and throughput targets are met everyday
· Assigns job duties
· Coordinate flow of product in most efficient sequence
· Monitor and control production output of each work center
· Ensures all equipment is maintained to support production targets
· Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
· Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems
· Ability and experience initiating and executing plans to motivate workers to achieve work/production goals
· Review of employee time and attendance cards/reports to insure correct reporting
· Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities between shifts and individual departments – Personally involved in all shift hand-offs
· Ability to conduct him or herself in a disciplined and professional manner. Abides by and endorses all company rules and procedures set forth by the Company
· Responsible for all aspects of training production employees on the night shifts
· Maintain a clean and safe work area
· Investigate safety related and employees related issues
· Leads, guides, and trains employees on policies, procedures, safety related matters and company objectives
· Assist with other projects as needed
· Ability to follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety, environmental, and/or infectious control standards
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of records, information and any other employee related confidential matters
· Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities
· Ability to orientate, supervise and train employees, to include organizing and prioritizing
· Perform employee reviews and performance appraisals
· Handle promotions and disciplinary procedures
· Ability to inspect product and processes to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines and/or equipment
· Studies production schedules and estimates man-hours to assure maximum utilization of direct labor
· Monitors indirect man-hours to assure timely completion and/or effective use of labor
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
· Ability to analyze and assess training and development needs
· Employee development and performance management skills
· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
· Ability to interpret and analyze informational needs, and provide technical advice and guidance in area of specialty
· Directs the development of and carrying out of approved affirmative action programs in the areas of EEOC compliance.
· Develops and maintains an effective Department through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, and disciplinary action when appropriate.
· Develops and maintains a program for sound employee relations.
· Provides guidance and direction to employees to assist in their professional development.
· Follow and enforce all Company safety policies and rules of conduct
· Instruct employees as needed in the performance of their job to meet Company standards
· Promote good housekeeping throughout Plant
· Work with Quality Assurance to promote timely and effective require QA inspections
· Alerts top management and Safety Manager whenever an injury or illness occurs to obtain guidance in managing doctor’s care or emergency response.
· Performs other duties as assigned by management.
