Basic Job Concept:
Responsible for the safe placement of assigned trucks to their assigned doors for the night crew to load, the pre-cooling of trucks, and the documentation of the process.
Night Shipping Manager
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proven ability to operate small and large straight trucks.
Operate an electric pallet jack safely and efficiently.
Stage trucks to their assigned loading door.
Pre-cool refrigeration unit and document.
Clean and sweep/ wash truck as needed/instructed.
Maintain communication with night supervision through the nightly process.
Communicate all truck issues observed to night supervision.
Strictly adhere to all safety rules.
Perform other tasks, as requested by management.
Responsible for working until relieved by supervisor. This may require working longer than your scheduled work hours.
Ability to work with others in a professional manner.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
Basic reading and writing skills.
Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Class A or B.

Pass the D.O.T Physical each time.
Pass the Professional Truck Driver (DDC-PTD) test each year requirement of Sysco.
Must be able to climb up on cab walk to check T.K. unit fluids each day.
While performing the duties of this job, an associate regularly works near moving mechanical apparatus and is regularly exposed to vibration and moderate to high noise levels. The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts. Walking and working is done on concrete flooring. Some duties are performed in the warehouse and will require work to be done in varying climates. Temperatures range from zero in the coolers to 95 degrees Fahrenheit or above outdoors. The shift end-time fluctuates with the employer’s daily needs. The associate occasionally works in high and precarious places.
