MISSION : Manage and lead the regional Retail Services Managers and Retail Services Representatives in the field implementation of the Benjamin Moore Marketing strategy and plan. Lead in the execution of in-store messaging and merchandising tactics to ensure the consistent and timely activation of the plan at retail. Deliver specialized services and retailing best practices to the Benjamin Moore retail channel, resulting in activities and tasks that support our retailers, strengthen and differentiate our channel, drive sales, support community involvement and improved market position, and deliver a uniquely satisfying end-user experience.

Business Development
  • As a core member of the Retail Services management team, plan, evaluate, and upgrade the field level retail services plan to ensure that the team is executing against the retail marketing deliverables
  • Assess market needs and develop and manage the annual retail field services plan and budget
  • Manage the implementation of all retail services and delivery of the retailer value proposition through organization of resources
  • Acting as project execution lead for the retail services team, align retailers through the delivery and implementation of strategic programs i.e. Premium Advantage, Store of the Future
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with retailers
  • Collaborate in the delivery and execution of regional and group adverting programs ensuring the best possible deployment of funds to reach targeted end users
  • Collaborate with the Retail Services management team to assess program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and execute improvement plans
People Management/Development
  • Manage all aspects of performance management including skill assessment, competency development and assessment of training needs resulting in optimum skill and competency levels for the retail services team
  • Continually assess the analysis and data needs of the retail services team to take full advantage of the opportunities posed by the industry environment and adjust tactics as necessary
  • Monitor and analyze the retail services team business plan to ensure compliance across team members
  • Responsible for compliance with all corporate policies, procedure and guidelines Account Business Development
  • Coordinates the successful conversion of existing aligned retailers to the Benjamin Moore Signature Store Program
  • Supports project management for implementation of SSP and hardware Strategy
Relationships
  • Work closely with the Marketing Groups to effectively deploy the implementation of marketing programs and initiatives throughout all BM North American markets
  • Works with Sales and Marketing Managers to develop action plans to affect specific retail improvements (merchandising, store layout and design, store marketing plans, business consulting, etc.) enabling individual retailer business improvement
  • Facilitate & build relationships with Retailer Advisory Council retailers and other key retailers throughout our independent channel
  • Act as a communications conduit for information between Benjamin Moore communications group and retailers on matters relating to Retailer Portal functionality and usage

Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Marketing; MBA preferred
  • Knowledge of retail management with 10+ years experience
  • Proficient with data analysis and market research
  • Effective communicator, leader, and motivator
  • 3 to 5 years supervisory and management experience working with staff of greater than 5 people
  • Experience delivering presentations
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Prior experience with managerial finance, budgeting, and planning
  • Experience in development of marketing plans
  • Minimum 50% travel required throughout North America
