The Northeast Sales Manager develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you will be responsible for direct sales of the Ultra-Pure Water product line to all market segments in the mid-Atlantic region with revenue responsibility of $2.0 million annually, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
In addition, you will:
Be responsible for achieving quarterly and annual sales targets for instruments and aftermarket products / services within the region
Demonstrate proficiency in sales skills including prospecting, negotiations, closing, time management, Strategic Selling concepts, key account activities, product demonstrations, and presentations
Demonstrate a solid technical understanding of our products and services and an strong understanding of our primary markets and applications including the pharma (cleaning validation and USP PW / WFI), microelectronics (UPW and reclaim), municipal water (regulatory and plant monitoring), and power (plant performance and cogen) markets and related applications (this knowledge includes a complete understanding of industry regulations as they relate to our products)
Have a basic technical understanding of our competitors' products and sales distribution
Be responsible for updating the Pivotal CRM database on a regular basis including creating and frequently updating lead, company, contact, user group, and opportunity records; creating quotations; recording key customer interactions as notes; and updating forecasted opportunities (within a 90 day horizon) on a monthly basis, and the remaining forecasted opportunities on a periodic basis
Be responsible for keeping Sales Management and the appropriate Product Manager informed and aware of market trends and customer feedback
Communicate with customers and coworkers on the phone and in person in proficient manner
Communicates with other sales team members to discuss market information, sales strategies and tactics, and to coordinate key account opportunities that span multiple territories and regions
Travel on a frequent basis to customer sites in the assigned territory to perform product demonstrations, assist in the sale of aftermarket products, and visit existing customers to prospect for new opportunities
Attend company sponsored trade shows within the territory and makes the National Sales Manager aware of local or regional conferences that would help create sales opportunities in the territory
Travel to and participates in company sales conferences and meetings
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a sales, support, or marketing field)
Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Sales, Customer & Product Support or Services
Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Chemistry or Chemistry related degree
Analytical Instrument experience preferred
Experience selling to or working in the pharmaceutical industry
Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
In-depth knowledge of the industrial applications for product lines and markets
