POSITION TITLE: Nursing Faculty

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, 1.0 FTE, Limited Faculty Member Assignment
167 work days.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The faculty member is responsible for delivery of instruction to students in the Associate's Degree Nursing Program. The position includes primarily clinical and lab supervision as well as some classroom teaching, student advisement, and participation in department, divisional and college-wide activities, curriculum development, and professional development. The faculty member functions as a team member of a program area/department and a division. Teaching assignments may include alternative delivery settings which include synchronous video, self-paced, tutorial, evening and weekend offerings. Travel to a variety of clinical sites is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college; Current Colorado R.N. license in good standing without restrictions; Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education Teaching Credential; 2 years recent experience in professional clinical nursing practice.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Nursing, Teaching experience in post-secondary professional nursing program, 5 years recent experience in professional nursing practice.


SALARY: Salary competitive (Based on level of education, skills and experience). Benefits include health, life, & dental insurance, LTD, & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.

SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their qualifications as related to the duties & responsibilities of the position. Skills testing may be included in the screening process. Interviewed Faculty candidates will be required to prepare and deliver an actual classroom learning experience/lecture before the selection committee. More information will be given to candidates at the time the interviews are scheduled. Final candidates will be invited to travel to the College, at their own expense, to interview with the Screening Committee & college officials.
