Day Shift (10 hour)
Under the direction of the Vice President for Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Executive, and in collaboration with leadership, associates, and Information Systems, the Nursing Informatics Analyst is responsible for supporting clinical documentation processes and applications. This position requires strong analytical and facilitator skills to identify documentation requirements and design documentation systems to support best practice guidelines in patient care processes and work flow. This position oversees adequate training and support for documentation compliance; implementation and coordination of workflow and upgrade improvements to the clinical documentation system. Education/Training/Experience : Bachelor's degree in Nursing or RN with advanced training in Informatics systems. Minimum of two (2) years nursing care experience and two (2) years nursing technology systems experience. Experience using word processing, database applications such as MS Access, desktop publishing, or spreadsheet software. Knowledge of JACHO and Title XXII regulations. Knowledge of scope of practice as defined in Nurse Practice Act. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Strong analytical skills. Flexible scheduling to support needs for "go live" and unplanned downtown. Licenses/Certification : Current California nursing license.
