The Nursing Intern will work directly with our Headquarters’ Nurse assisting with health and safety forms, protocols and operations.

Position Objective/Purpose:

We are seeking motivated Intern that supports ESF’s mission and values. The Intern must be capable of completing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the professional standards of ESF. In addition to helping prepare for our camp season, he/she will assist in maintaining daily camp operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist Nurse with camper health forms and our safety protocols
  • Prepare for Nurse trainings and the opening of camp season
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks as needed
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including, but not limited to mail, faxes and email
  • Exhibit ESF Core Values at all times and adhere to all company policies
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Experience Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Certification Requirements:
  • None

Education Requirements:
  • Nursing student enrolled in a BSN Program

Other Skill Requirements:
  • Outstanding communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to gather, collate and analyze data

Reporting Relationships:
  • Reports directly to the Headquarters’ Nurse

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to push/pull, lift and carry a minimum of 35Ibs
  • Possible travel to various camp sites after the opening of our camp season
  • Endurance to work outside, in varying temperatures and conditions and on your feet for up to 10 hours per day
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations which may require running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and climbing stairs
