The Nursing Research Specialist in the Nursing–Research Department has a focus of practice in helping to implement and sustain a research focus in Patient Care Services. The goal of the research is to improve patient care. Position operates in a complex environment with multidisciplinary focus. Must independently initiate functions with minimal supervision. Demonstrates high-level research skills. Complies with hospital and departmental standards, policies, procedures, and protocols. (CB)
A Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field is required.
Five (5) years experience participating in research. Graduate Level Research Course is required.
Prefer that a thesis or research study was completed as part of graduate work, or experience has been obtained in performing a major role in a research study.
Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a non-Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
