Assists Dietitians in Food Service. Provides direct and indirect patient care as determined/delegated by a Registered Dietitian (RD). The care provided is commonly routine, i.e., delivering and picking up patient menus, assisting patients with menu selections and editing menus according to the diet prescription. Processes diet changes from nursing services and maintains census record. Checks accuracy of patient trays. Modifies menus based on patients food patterns, tolerances, and preferences.
Ability to read in English to follow oral and/or written instructions. Ability to prioritize work. Must have good customer service skills. Bilingual preferred.
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Six months in dietary in a Healthcare setting.
Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required within 30 days of hire date.
