As a nutritionist you will provide on-site medical nutrition therapy for SAS employees and their eligible family members. In addition, you will lead special projects, present wellness seminars, complete professional writing projects including blog posts, film video vignettes and teach nutrition classes. You will provide nutrition program support that includes but is not limited to:
Performing computerized nutrition analysis and interpreting and communicating nutrition analysis data.
Performing program evaluations to measure effectiveness.
Developing and/or updating nutrition education materials and curricula.
Contributing nutrition articles, blog posts and other appropriate information to the Health Care Center and nutrition web pages and the company intranet.
Developing and erecting displays to coordinate with various wellness events.
Researching timely and periodic updates of nutrition information.
Serving on selected internal and interdepartmental committees.
Performing administrative duties that support nutrition programs.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Master's degree in Foods and Nutrition.
5 or more years of experience as a nutritionist or dietitian, including 2 years of experience in public health nutrition or health promotion/disease prevention.
Registered Dietitian (RD) and NC licensure required.
Excellent public speaking, writing, editing and organizational skills.
Must be able to function as an effective team member.
Extensive knowledge of preventive and clinical nutrition including diabetes, lipid and weight management, GI disorders, management of food allergies and intolerances and pediatric nutrition.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Desktop Publishing or equivalent program.
Strong personal computer skills required, including ability to use computerized nutrition analysis programs.
Experience using an electronic health record in a clinical setting.
Current full time employment providing medical nutrition therapy to all ages.
Knowledge and training in functional medicine and functional clinical nutrition.
