Position Title: BI/DW/OBIEE Developer
Location: San Jose Area
Duration: Contract, Contract to Hire or FTE

We are looking for a Senior BI/DW/OBIEE Developer to create Dashboards and reports.

Identify source systems and data objects
: Identify, review and get approval on data source/data elements
: Validate access to data sources and individual data objects. In cases where there is no direct SQL access to database, flat files will be used

Logical and Physical Data modeling
: Model staging area
: Model STAR schemas (facts and dimensions)
: Model aggregates (if needed)
: Data model validation. Validate data model against reporting needs and make necessary changes
: Physical model and creating on database objects.
: Create schemas, tables, and indexes
: Data and index partitioning

ETL implementation
: Source to target mappings
: Design and implement ETL jobs, error handling and notification
: Design and implement ETL workflows, implement parallelism and dependency
: Data validation, unit testing
: Overall ETL process testing
: Define ETL load schedule

OBIEE repository development
: Implement physical layer. Import objects, define keys, create physical model, de-normalize tables as needed
: Implement business layer. Define summary columns and hierarchies
: Implement presentation layer for folders and sub folders

OBIEE reports
: Define report layout, look and feel, prompts, and filters
: Create reports
: Validation of reports, unit testing

OBIEE security
Define and implement groups and users. Provide access to subject areas based on need

POC Test
: Create test cases for validating end to end ETL process
: Document POC test outcome.
: Report validation/data validation to be done by business users
: Implement changes in various layers based on POC test outcome, repeat the test process to validate changes
