DESCRIPTION

The Occupational Therapist for the All About Kids Program works as part of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate services as needed, with other pertinent staff, children and/or families. This position is responsible for identification, assessment/evaluation, direct and/or consultative services in gross motor development and rehabilitation for all referred children. This position works with children birth to 3 years of age.

This position can be full time, part-time or contractor status.

DUTIES

IISPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific Responsibilities of the AAK Occupational Therapist may include, but are not limited to the following items below. He/she will:

1.Administer to client's assessments and evaluations that are pertinent and applicable to their respective handicapping conditions.

2.Develop, maintain, and implement the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) and appropriate services for each assigned child to meet established goals and objectives, and to ensure compliance with state, agency and service standards, policies and procedures.

3.Plan, prescribe, and provide instruction, as needed, for children and/or families in the All About Kids Program.

4.Design and assist in implementation or purchase of adaptive occupational materials and provide instruction to appropriate team members in the use and care of materials in the child's home, or center based program.

5.Provide consultative services to physicians and agency staff in all programs, as needed;

6.Attend appropriate department, agency and other organizational meetings and/or in-services, as required.

7.Supervise and consult to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid driver's license and auto insurance

Baccalaureate degree

Certification in Occupational Therapy and maintenance of current Indiana Occupational Therapy license.

Must be meet state credentialing requirements for First Steps. IISPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
