There are multiple OD&P (Performance Improvement) Specialist positions available in the New Nuclear Deployment (NND) Organizational Development & Performance (OD&P) department.
These positions could be responsible for any of the following:
• Supporting various aspects of the NND OD&P department including: Observation, Benchmarking, Assessment, Construction/Operating Experience, and Corrective Action Programs. The tasks include but are not limited to: contractor oversight in all performance improvement areas and working closely with NND staff to implement and monitor the observation and benchmarking programs.
• Potentially owning specific programs (Observation and Benchmarking) and thus will ensure procedure processes and training suits the organization’s needs, develop and maintain metrics to assess the project’s performance, and to inform his/her management and NND personnel of observation results and trends.
• Lead responsibilities for Units 2 & 3 Construction/Operating Experience (CE/OE) Program serving as the primary interface for Consortium members (CBI & Westinghouse) construction and operating experience programs. This role will also include reviewing and evaluating information from the Nuclear Industry and the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) to determine applicability for construction and operating activities for Units 2 & 3. Incumbent will be expected to provide technical oversight of industry events with a focus on industrial safety, nuclear safety, radiological safety, quality assurance, performance improvement and construction project management.
The minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelors degree or equivalent years of education and experience to include an Associate degree and four years in a Nuclear or manufacturing environment using performance improvement type tools or a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years experience in a nuclear or manufacturing environment using performance type tools.
Experience in one of the following areas is preferred: Construction, Operations, Licensing, Engineering or Maintenance. Experience in nuclear plant operation, system design, construction field engineering, start-up, corrective action programs and project management is highly desirable. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, as well as specific experience involving Learning Organization programs. Familiarity with Performance Improvement related software applications is also preferred.
