Perform scheduled service and troubleshooting tasks on wind turbine generators
Take necessary action to prevent or limit failure to optimize turbine efficiency
Optimize reliability and performance of the wind turbines by minimizing down time
Ensure scheduled services activities are performed correctly and timely
Identify potential problems in advance and be proactive in implementing solutions
Work with engineering and construction on project commissioning and erection activities
Ensure timely and accurate implementation of engineering change notices and retrofits
Carefully track as assigned and required spare parts usage, inventory, and time allocation
Ensure time sheets are accurately completed and submitted
Correctly apply and manage the use of consumables and parts
Comply with all procedures and carry out other duties as needed
Technical Associate’s degree or equivalent experience with a valid driver’s license
Electrical/Mechanical training with experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and error tracking on machines, power industry experience a plus
Experience in error analysis, and control equipment
Experience performing megger testing, laser alignment equipment for generator alignment, multi-meters, amperage clamps, hytorc bolt tensioning equipment, and torque wrenches
Computer literate and strong attention to detail
Ability to work in teams and in extreme weather conditions
Ability to climb ladders to heights of 60 to 100 meters, work in confined spaces with and work wearing all necessary personal protective equipment
