TITLE: ORACLE Application Administrator
REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer
LOCATION: Boston, MA
COORDINATES WITH: Outside vendors supporting Oracle including Oracle, All managers in Oxfam America. Particular coordination with the CFO, Controller, Director of FP&A, Director of Human Resources, Financial Operations, Human Resources, and Program Managers.
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Provide superior technical and application support to the users of the Oxfam America EBS, Business Intelligence system and related applications. Be the primary interface between the organization and systems/applications providers, ensuring high performance and availability.
Serve as the Oxfam America technical subject matter expert for the Oracle’s software applications and Business Intelligence activities.
Administer the full cycle of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) activities including on-going Maintenance and Implementation:
o Support key users with application issues through working knowledge of the applications.
o Administer system administration activities such as user access maintenance, menu and responsibility maintenance. Have a working knowledge of basic Oracle application system administration
o Support ad-hoc report development with tools such as OBIEE answers, TOAD and Noetix views.
o Have a strong working knowledge of PLSQL. OBIEE experience a plus.
o Develop and maintain audit documentation including setup changes and issue resolutions.
o Develop system setup how-to’s and training as needed.
o Support the resolution of technical issues using vendor support systems; including, but not limited to Oracle, DBA and OBIEE support.
o Assist users in the implementation and testing of new Oracle functionality.
o Assist in the maintenance of third party interfaces with the Oracle applications.
o Maintain and update system configuration to include all licenses, user profiles creation and upgrades, creation and maintenance of reference tables, and security settings
o Monitor performance logs and meet with Hosting Vendor on a TBD schedule to insure optimum performance
o Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
o Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the user community team
o Keep users informed of planned system outages & changes
o Be the go-to person when users have questions about our configuration including data and functionality
o Provide the Sponsor, Stakeholders and Users with appropriate information for them to properly manage &/or interface with the BI system
Interfaces with other systems
o When there are issues assist in the identification and analysis of problems
o Manage and work that requires the participation of Hosting Vendor with other software vendors
o Work with vendor to prioritize and insure resolution of issues and keep users informed of the status of their issues
System Updates (changes, patches etc.)
o Work with vendor to make sure changes reflect user requirements and are thoroughly tested before implementation
o Documentation - Update user documentation as needed
o Work with users and vendors to identify scope & requirements of potential changes
o Assist Project Sponsor in making decision for how to proceed with Change requests including financial implications
o Insure that changes requested by one group will not negatively affect another group
o Work with users to implement and test workflow changes using Oracle tool
o Make simple changes to data using Oracle tools
Occasional travel, including international travel to developing countries may be required to provide training and attend meetings.
Out of Scope:
Hands-on changes to software beyond specific tasks listed above
Hands-on changes to hardware

§ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, Management Information systems or related field.
Experience and Core Competencies:
Five years of progressively responsible experience as an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Data Base, Systems Analyst or related consulting experience with expertise in the following:
Oracle Database Administration experience.
Operations or systems design with EBS financial and HR applications
Report Development & modelling exp
OBIEE architecture and dashboard reports (preferably including Project Analytics)
Technical proficiency in the following: XML Publisher, PLSQL, and data modeling
Proficiency in Microsoft office products with sophisticated Excel skills
Experience managing and integrating multiple database and applications systems
Experience of working in a team that delivers a high performance for organizationally and geographically diverse operating units.
Excellent organizational, time & project management, and communication & presentation skills
Experience in Oracle system implementation methodology and prior experience in EBS implmentation
Experience in OBIEE data warehouse, Informatica, Siebel, and RPD maintenance.
