The Oral Health Advocate will receive training necessary to develop an oral health counseling program. This counseling will target Boston public housing residents, with a specific focus on caregivers with young children. The counseling will be aimed at reducing the risks and lowering the incidence of Early Childhood Caries (ECC,) also known as "bottle rot." The counseling will be part of a larger project. Miscellaneous project tasks may also be assigned.

Must have basic computer skills and the ability to travel for off campus, health assessments on a regular basis.

Must be bilingual, speaking and understanding both Spanish and English fluently.

Some weekends and evenings will be required.

Required Skills

HS diploma/GED is preferred. Experience working with culturally diverse communities or work in the health field is strongly preferred.
