The Occupational Health Assistant will serve the clinic including, but not limited to, meeting and greeting customers, answering phones, registration procedures including check-in and check-out, scheduling, assist with tracking, mailing, and faxing materials. This role will also support the department goal of health promotion and restoration, prevention of illness and injury, and protection from occupational and environmental hazards by providing direct patient care activities to include, but not limited to, obtaining vital signs, urine collections, phlebotomy, TST reading, and fit-testing under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Assists in department process improvement activities, and supports the hospital and department philosophy and objectives.
Position Requirements
Basic Requirements: High school diploma or GED with completion of a medical assistant program plus at least 3 years experience as a medical assistant in clinic setting; must have current BLS certification
