DESCRIPTION

Position is responsible for profitable sales growth to our Off-Highway diesel engine customers. This includes parts, service and equipment engine repowers.

DUTIES

** Technical sales to support OEM's, end customers and off-highway dealers** New business development growth** Managing existing customer accounts to expand our service offering** Develops and presents proposals/quotes based upon customer needs** Strong team player between parts, service and factory representatives** Excellent organizational skills** Industry experience includes: construction & industrial, commercial marine, quarry and rail to support engine maintenance and overhaul for diesel powered equipment.** Territory management utilizing a customer relationship database** Participates in industry associations and trade shows** Overnight travel required

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform rate, ratio, percent and algebraic calculations. Ability to compose and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply all advanced electrical and mechanical engineering processes and formulas to practical applications.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; SXTrend inventory and order processing system; manufacturing software; Project Management software; MSAccess; UltiPro Human Resource System; and SalesLogix Contact Management System.Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
