Job Summary: Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing and Office Manager, the Office Assistant provides clerical/office support by answering phones, maintaining a clean and organized office environment, facilitating communication, filing, copying, chart maintenance as well as performing additional tasks as assigned.Requirements: Previous office experience in a home health, hospice, geriatric or general medical/surgical office environmentKnowledge of current Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement guidelinesAbility to work professionally, positively and cooperatively with office and clinical staffDemonstrated knowledge of basic computer programsAbility to communicate effectively in English
