Performs a variety of routine data entry, clerical and administrative work in support of the Bob Gilmore Senior Center office.
Performs routine clerical and administrative work in answering phones, receiving the public, and providing customer assistance.
Responsible for entering data into computer system.
Acts as an information and referral source in the community, guiding persons to the appropriate person or agency.
Answers incoming calls and routes callers or provides information as required.
Responsible for creating flyers for special events and activities.
Assists with special events offered by the department.
Assists with registrations associated with the Bob Gilmore Senior Center.
Maintains and processes community mailing list, as required.
Distributes Bob Gilmore Senior Center mail; handles incoming mail.
Provides clerical assistance for Bob Gilmore Senior Center staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or equivalent; and
One year of general office, communications or records management experience; or
Any equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license by date of hire. Must be bondable.
Must be able to type 30 wpm net.

Personal computer, including word processing software; copy machine; typewriter; fax machine; calculator; multi-line-function telephone; and paper shredder.
