Provides clerical assistance and administrative support to the County Attorney's office.

Essential Duties:

Work involves data entry, scanning, document creation and copying, Employee will assist contract staff with electronic and paper document production for new/renewed contracts and monthly contract call-ups and will assist litigation staff with scanning and redacting discovery, document production for hearings; and the tracking of case files . Employee is responsible for answering, screening and returning telephone calls, coverage of front desk receptionist when necessary. Work also involves courthouse deliveries along with customer service with the courts, the general public and other government agencies. Multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced work environment and the willingness to do other related work, as required, will be necessary to be successful in this job. This position provides support assistance to 21 attorneys and 13 staff.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent certification and minimum of six months related work experience, preferably in a legal environment.

Must be able to exert 50 lb of force to move objects on an occasional basis, and 10-25 lb on a frequently basis.

Offer of employment contingent on criminal history check and education verification.

Special Requirements:

Must be able to type a minimum of 40 wpm.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strongly prefer working knowledge of
Acrobat Adobe.
Must be able to retain and process verbal instructions and execute the assigned task without further supervision.

Must be proficient in Time Matters within two months of hire date.
