Provide a wide range of secretarial and administrative support for the Communication Programs, Ground and Communication Programs/National Systems Group (NSG). This organization consists of a Principal Director, an Associate Principal Director, five System Directors, and assigned staff (~25 personnel). Staff are disbursed across various sites, with most employees located in the Chantilly, VA area. Secretarial and administrative support required includes: making and tracking travel arrangements and associated expense reporting; electronic time card processing and auditing; maintaining, coordinating, and tracking calendars, action items, and activity logs; arranging meetings; coordinating conference room and VTC facilities; preparing classified and unclassified correspondence and briefing charts; handling visit requests; and responding to telephone, facsimile and mail including voice and electronic mail transactions. Maintenance of paper and electronic filing systems for the organization is required. Ordering office supplies and maintaining printer supplies is required. Assist with security-related actions such as requesting clearances be passed to other organizations and working with Aerospace special security is required. Assist the Principal Director by extracting regular reports to management for budgets, MTS JO, and travel expenditures. Coordinate many of the above activities with the NSG front office and other corporate organizations, acting as the focal point for the distribution of directorate-wide information and serving as backup administrative support to other directorates within the division based on absences and workload overflows. Selected individual will use a government networked classified computer system and the Aerospace unclassified computer systems on a daily basis. An ability to travel locally in the Chantilly area is desired. Duty location will be in Aerospace office spaces in Chantilly, VA.

Minimum of 8 years experience of related administrative work experience is required. Promptness, dependability, accuracy, and organization are required. Must be able to balance multiple projects with initiative to establish and organize office and individual workflows. Flexibility and responsiveness to evolving and often short-notice needs is required. Proficiency in a variety of software applications (primarily Microsoft Office Professional and e-mail/calendar applications such as Outlook or LotusNotes) is required. Must be eager and willing to learn new computer skills; training will be provided as required. Existing skills with Aerospace administrative processes (especially ESS and eTravel) are desired. Proven ability to work with diverse technical personnel and government staff in a program office environment is also desired. Ability to obtain SBI clearance is required.
