Serve as the initial contact for visitors and students with general questions pertaining to the courses and programs. Provide phone coverage and screens and directs calls to appropriate faculty and staff. Schedule meetings and appointments for faculty and staff as necessary. Maintain data and correspondence files, creates/maintains student files and maintains professional discretion and confidentiality as it relates to student records. Provide faculty office operation support which includes; typing, copying, prepare and receive US mail and courier mail and creates student handouts. Organize office environment such as the office suite workroom and maintain resource materials and office and equipment inventory. Prepare request for office supplies for faculty and staff as appropriate. Coordinate textbook orders, maintain and update files on instructors and courses, serve as liaison with other departments and college offices. Prepare travel reimbursements and travel arrangements. Provide faculty with student enrollment information. Assist with notification of class cancellations. Maintain bulletin boards and disseminating UCF materials, including flyers, brochures and handouts. Interpret applicable university and college policies and procedures for faculty and staff as necessary and provide information for the resolution of problems.

Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma and four years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. If minimum requirements of the position do not require post high school education, an applicant is not required to provide the information on the application.

Selected candidate to be a self-starter with previous experience in an academic or professional office environment. Preference for candidates who possess the following computer application skills: word processing, spreadsheets, email and electronic calendar software. Preference for candidates who understand the needs of non-traditional students. Be able to demonstrate sensitivity to and appreciation for the various dimensions of diversity. Preference for candidates who possess superior customer service and communication skills.

This position does not require college credits. If the selected applicant claims college credit on the application for this position, an official college transcript must be provided within 30 days of the hire date. This applies whether the applicant is a new hire or promoted from among current UCF employees.
