Performs front desk coverage providing customer services to include answering telephone, preparation of patient chart utilizing both Meditech and Practice Partner, patient registration, scheduling appointments, entering charges, and medical record management. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior.
Excellent communication and public relations skills. Excellent telephone skills, average typing skills and professional appearance and attitude required. Manages stress appropriately and makes decisions under pressure. Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Sedentary work with periods of standing, lifting, stooping, bending, walking, talking, answering telephones, using computer programs specific to WFH, and adhering to hospital and HIPAA standards. Attendance is essential to this role. A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years front desk experience is preferred. : Good organizational, critical thinking, multi-tasking, and communication skills in a detail-oriented, customer-focused organization are required. Basic computer skills are required.
