Terms of Appointment:
This is a 12-month, full-time, Officer of Administration (OA) position subject to annual contract review and renewal. The anticipated start date is February 1, 2013. Salary range is $40,000-$50,000 plus the standard University of Oregon benefit package.
Essential Functions :
Oversee the daily operation of the Graduate Program Office including supervising staff, coordinating Graduate Program events, managing the MBA program calendar, and coordinating the prospective student inquiry process and intake questions.
Coordinate the business functions of the Graduate Program office including managing budgets, tracking expenses and approving invoices for payment; assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and procedure manuals.
Provide administrative support to the Assistant Dean for MBA Program and graduate program directors.
Other administrative support: support the Graduate Program committees including scheduling, preparing meeting agendas and materials, and taking and distributing meeting minutes; assist with the development and implementation of strategic initiatives; point of contact for information requests includes gathering data from a variety of sources and synthesizing into desired reports, surveys or other formats.
Five years of customer service experience.
Two years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in a college or university setting.
Outstanding and established problem solving and organizational skills.
Proven ability to effectively, continuously and discretely work with confidential and potentially sensitive information.
Commitment to working effectively within an increasingly diverse work environment.
Able to consistently demonstrate a high degree of ethics, personal integrity and emotional maturity.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (i.e., Business Administration, Accounting, Organizational Development, etc.).
Strong analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to consistently complete assignments and perform functions in a timely manner with attention to detail.
Capacity to communicate, verbally and in writing, effectively presenting ideas and providing plans and procedures in a clear and concise manner to staff, faculty and students.
Experience working in a graduate-level academic setting highly preferred.
