Under the general supervision of the Music Department Chair, the Office Manager for the Department of Music will provide administrative assistance for 4 full-time and 28 part-time faculty; including coordination of the audition process for prospective and incoming students, parents, and faculty; and management of scheduling and planning of concerts and other departmental events. The Office Manager is responsible for the maintenance of two departmental budgets; student and departmental records; departmental web page; preparation of correspondence including part-time faculty appointment letters; oversight of departmental work study students; and other duties as assigned. A detailed list of tasks is available upon request. This is a full-time, 11-month position (M-F 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).
Qualifications: Excellent typing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Professional-Word, Excel, Access, Publisher-essential). Datatel and Ingeniux (web page) experience helpful; will train if necessary. Applicants must be highly organized, and able to multitask, work in an interruption-rich environment, as well as be committed to a high standard of customer service and professionalism while working well with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
