Office Manager, Vida Guidance Center – Bronx, NY

We are seeking a Clinic Office Manager who will be responsible for all administrative and front desk support for the Vida Guidance Center Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and the development, modification, improvement and implementation of Comunilife’s administrative and clinical policies and procedures. Specific Responsibilities:
Manage, supervise and monitor the daily operation of registration, central scheduling, medical records. Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review, or modify data; utilizing word processing, database, and software programs.
Supervise, train, evaluate front desk staff assigning work priorities
Responsible for composing general correspondence, record keeping, file maintenance, and data entry
Assist with all billing functions: Prepare and administer petty cash and organize bank deposits. Order and maintain inventory of pre-approved office supplies.Maintains a filing system for all administrative, purchasing and procurement related documents.
Responsible for the overall maintenance of the physical plant and general environment of the clinic

- Associates Degree in a related field and three years of experience in an Office Manager role in medical setting or a Bachelor’s Degree in related field and one year experience
- Medicaid/Medicare and private insurance experience;
- Medical billing/collections experience and basic word processing, spreadsheet database skills required;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel;
- Experience working in mental health clinic a plus.
