The successful candidate will be required to pass an Advanced proficiency Spanish/English language examination assessing the following skills: oral communication, reading comprehension, interpreting AND translating text from the Spanish language to the English language and vice versa.
The Office Services Coordinator (OSC) provides direct administrative support to the Program Specialist and other staff members to ensure the efficient and functional flow of the administrative operations of the TESS Center. The TESS Center serves the Long Branch Community and averages approximately 650 - 750 walk-in customers per month. The OSC provides telephone and customer assistance for TESS Center customers, initiates the required data collection process for computer input and/or for scheduling customers to meet with appropriate staff. The OSC updates and maintains the Centers Information & Referral system. The OSC proofreads correspondence and translations (Spanish/English); translated informational handouts from English to Spanish; and develops bilingual forms, flyers, notices, etc. Additionally, the OSC handles sales and accounting for Fare Media, processes invoices using the Countys ERP system; orders and maintains office supplies, forms, applications, and handouts used by staff; logs and distributes incoming/outgoing mail; handles day-to-day routine maintenance of all office automation equipment; takes minutes at staff meetings; and assist with the VITA program activities.
The work schedule for this position is regular business hours except during tax season, January - April which requires the employee to work one evening a week (Tuesdays).

Experience: Four (4) years of administrative aide/office support experience.
Education: Completion of high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted.

Experience in the use of office equipment (scanner and copying machine), computers and application programs such as MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), and MS Outlook. Experience maintaining program files and records.
