This position consists primarily of handling all coordination and communication at the OR Control Desk to support the charge nurse in managing the OR schedule. Involves understanding the roles of surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing, pre- and post-op processes, along with the functions of ancillary departments such as pharmacy, environmental services, plant operations, and others. Excellent customer service is a must, including interpersonal and telephone skills. Good computer skills required for Outlook, excel spreadsheet work, creating word documents, retrieving information related to clinical status of patients, and handling the patient tracking system for perioperative services. This position will take place in a high stress environment and will be multitasking between extensive phone and computer work.

1-3 years of office experience. Exceptional customer service skills are important. Computer skills: Microsoft office skills, scheduling and clinical software knowledge preferred. Medical Terminology required.
