The addition of a part-time Welcome Center Evening/Weekend Supervisor will allow us to:
•Professionally staff the SAS front desk with well trained personnel (in lieu of only various rotating part-time student staff) who can provide consistent knowledge, abilities and quality of service.
•Keep pace with the growth of USG including anticipated increases in prospective student inquiries and student enrollments.
•Provide critically needed support for all incoming phone calls including those made directly to SAS as well as incoming calls on USG‘s main line.
•Provide professional staff to assist department leadership with monitoring, control and reporting requirements – financial administration and various forms of data management
High School Diploma or GED AND Three years progressively responsible clerical work.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Two to three years of experience in a customer service, fast paced environment, including the ability to deal with multiple tasks, activities, deadlines, and multiple constituencies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Hospitable and professional demeanor with a service attitude
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to use and/or learn various computer systems (PC and mainframe)
-Ability to update, and maintain records both manual and computer based
-Experience in a student service operation in a university environment
-Experience in the areas of admissions, financial aid, registration, billing or other student services
-Experience and familiarity in the areas of outreach and public speaking
