As a key position in the ABS Group’s Global team for development and build out of services for renewable energy, the Senior Engineer Offshore Wind Energy will:

-Have the responsibility for and contributing in the technical execution and performance of offshore wind energy projects and being involved in the acquisition of such projects ensuring that services are carried out in accordance with the technical requirements of the offshore wind industry
-Execution and Management for the certification of offshore wind energy projects
-Keeping of time schedule requirements and assurance of quality of the service

Specifically These Responsibilities Are To:
1. Manage offshore wind energy projects and related tasks, such as:
-Follow up and technical support on ABS Group offshore wind energy projects
-Visiting US wind energy clients
-In charge of ongoing project follow up - customer contact
-Prepare quotations and scopes of work related to the specific projects
-Establish and maintain a Project File (both electronic and physical, incl. definition/establishment of project and project sub numbering) and documentation System for the TOW
-Select and/or mobilise project experts or freelancers in agreement with the Head of Department for the verification of loads, components, support structure (incl. soil), and reports/documentation
-Assure required quality to the project
-Assure that the project is carried out in accordance with the General Procedure for Project Certification
2. Evaluation and assessment of design documentation and drawings within the ABS Group projects with respect to prevailing expertise and reporting on the results

Educational background as Engineer, (M.Sc.) in Structural and/or Mechanical Engineering (M/F) and with 5-10 years relevant experience within the offshore wind industry or offshore oil and gas industry.

•Relevant experience in management of technical operations within the areas of wind turbine technology, load simulation and analyses of offshore wind turbines and their support structures, structural analysis, site assessment, wind resource assessment, technical due diligence and Project Certification
•Able to cooperate effectively with multidisciplinary and multinational teams
•Fluent in English
•Good Communication Skills
•Takes initiatives and can work independently
•Team player
