4.Attends safety meetings, keeps updated equipment changes on rig, monitors EMD motors and SCR system.
5.Keeps the motor room chipped and painted.
6.Possess knowledge of diesel equipment; repairs and maintains centrifugal pumps and cranes; takes on fuel, drill water and portable water; and checks and runs life capsule / life boat.
7.Works on variable load, swaps an engine, monitors bilges, voids, and redfox unit.
8.Must be capable of responding to emergency situations including, but not limited to, wellbore influxes, hydrogen sulfide detection and major mechanical or structure failure.
9.Must also be capable of quickly evacuating the facility to avoid injury during emergencies. Must also provide assistance with regard to rescue operations for injuries or overcome personnel.
10.Must be able to rig-up / rig-down of all mechanical aspect of the drilling rig and maintaining / repairing all mechanical equipment. Work is performed on active and stacked rigs.
